Dewan Pemuda PAS Pusat mengecam tindakan Ahli Parlimen Belanda, Geert Wilders menyiarkan filem bertajuk 'Fitna' secara online pada 27 Mac lalu. Filem tersebut dikatakan memberikan gambaran buruk terhadap Islam dan menghina al-Quran serta Nabi Muhammad s.a.w.
Ketua Pemuda PAS, Salahudin Ayub melahirkan kekecewaan kerana apa yang dilakukan oleh Ahli Parlimen Belanda itu telah mencetuskan perasaan tidak senang di kalangan umat Islam dan dikhuatiri boleh menimbulkan hubungan yang tidak baik antara umat Islam dan golongan bukan Islam seluruh dunia Beliau berkata demikian dalam sidang media selepas menyerahkan memorandum bantahan kepada Kedutaan Belanda hari ini. Memorandum tersebut diserahkan kepada Timbalan Ketua Kaunselor Kehormat, Luc Schillings, di Lobi bangunan The AmpWalk, Jalan Ampang, pagi tadi.
MEMORANDUM
We, the Central Youth Council of Islamic Party of Malaysia (PAS), firmly express our deepest resentment over the production of offensively anti-Islam film "Fitna" by Dutch MP Geert Wilders.
We strongly condemn the airing of the film and demand immediate action by the producer to retrieve the film from public domain. The film is clearly an insult to Islam and maliciously misleads viewers of the true pictures of Islam. As constantly promoted by those anti-Islam ignorant propagators, the film tries to link Islam with terrorism. We would like to firmly reiterates here that Islam do not condone any form of terrorism as we believe that violence begets further violence. Islam principally and fundamentally opposes any form of violence, transgressions and any form of terrorism.
The release of the film is totally unacceptable and irresponsible which shall not be granted justification under the freedom of expression. We warn the Dutch government that it would create unnecessary tense and invite vengeance from Muslim community throughout the world. We regret that the Dutch government has failed to prevent the producer as the news of his intention was made public before.
We look at this unwanted provocation as another encumbrance in creating better environment for peace and stability in the world. The Dutch leader should have been more responsible in participating in the harmonization of the true meaning of Islam particularly in Europe and the world at large.
To signify our protest, we strongly urge Muslims all over the world to boycott all Dutch products effective immediately. We hope the protests by Muslims all around the world can be taken as our disapproval against any insult and attempts to deceive the world of the true picture of Islam.
